Facts Finding Missions

  • 18-21 March 2019, by an 8-member team (5 IPM Caucus, 1 UNDP and 2 RDC) to investigate land rights violation by Julekhanagar tea garden owner against an ethnic village – Lakhaichora Duttabasti village under # 4 Sindurkhan and #8 Kalighat union, of Srimongol Upazila of Moulavibazar District.
  • 23-24 November, 2019 by a 5-member Team (4 IPM Caucus and 1 RDC) for 2nd Phase Investigation of Santal Village, ShahebganjBagda Farm, GobindaganjUpazila, Gaibandha District.
  • 22-23 July, 2018by a 9-member team (5 IPM Caucus, 1 UNDP and 3 RDC) to investigate Nahar Tea Garden’s attempt to evict Khasi indigenous peoplefrom their ancestral land Aslong and Kailing Punjiof Srimongolupazila of Moulavibazar district

Rapid Response

27 March 2019, Human Rights Violation against Landless Ethnic Minorities

A 6-member Rapid Response team visited Kagojkuta village, of Alompur union under Dhamraihatupazila of Nogaon District toinvestigate affected area and talked with the affected ethnic families subject to human rights violence.

The Rapid Response was conducted related to an incident of gang rape of a 22-year-old girl on in Birmapur Upazila of Dinajpur district followed by Press Conference on 24 January 2019 at 03.00 pm in Shagar-Runi Auditorium, 1st Floor, Dhaka Reporters Unitto protest Violence Against Women and recent incidences of rape
